Johnny Winter

The first thing I think of when I think about me playin’ with Johnny, besides his fondness for my “shuffle”, is his performance of a song called “Highway 61”. It’s a Bob Dylan cover that Johnny played slide guitar on. He always used his classic, iconic Gibson Firebird guitar for this tune, and for a slide he used a glass bottle, not a metal tube like most guitarists. We friggin’ ROCKED it! The thought of that vibe still sends chill-bumps up an’ down my spine!
