Pat Travers Band

The PTB was my first gig that was recognized internationally. I replaced Tommy Aldridge. They were pretty big shoes to fill but I did so successfully. We toured and recorded constantly, headlining our own theater/club tours as well as doing shows with Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Heart, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult and Cheap Trick. We were managed by Doc McGhee. To say that my career too a few steps up/forward is an understatement. Peter (Mars) Cowling (bass) and I had a great time personally AND musically – he taught me to SCUBA dive and were dive buddies often until his untimely demise in 2018. RIP Mars!

In November 2010 Pat asked me to reunite with him — of course I accepted. Unfortunately that association came to an end in January of 2016.
